If you are looking to get yourself a great weave then the absolute best location where you can go to have that done is a natural hair salon. Unfortunately however there are a great number of these salons who promise to deliver high quality natural hair but they are just not able to deliver on exactly what it is they say, much to our disappointment. Ultimately those who do go in for a weave do so because they want the highest quality hair piece and they are paying a pretty penny for it too, this is why we should be so selective with who we use and why. Let’s take a look at exactly what you should be looking for when you try out a new hair salon.

Quality of Hair

Unfortunately the phrase ‘natural hair’ is very much open to interpretation and that means that many salons will slightly deceive you with their products. Simply because hair is natural does not mean that it is of high quality and so before you even agree to have a treatment from a salon, you should first be looking to make sure that it is in fact from a natural source and that it is of high quality. If they are not prepared to show you the product when you ask, this is a sign that this salon isn’t for you.

Customer Service

Something which I have experienced in my time is that you find these incredible salons who use high end products and deliver an outstanding result, yet they think that this is all they need to deliver a greta business. For me, spending 2 hours inside a salon shouldn’t be a monotonous experience and I expect some level fo customer service and a little joie de vivre from those inside the salon. If you don’t feel this warmth or this customer service then no matter how good their products or their abilities are, my advice would be skip them and find a better place.

Pricing

As I am sure many of you will agree, paying for the very best will cost money, but it should always be relative to what you are receiving and what other places are charging. For example I don’t expect to find the cheapest salon but I expect to find one which is at least competitive in their prices. Usually the cheapest are using poor quality products and the most expensive are those in high end post codes or those with high end clients. For my money, I would look to pick a salon which has their prices somewhere in the middle of those two extremes.

The best thing I can tell you to do is try out a number of salons, speak with friends and family to get reviews and testimonials and never discount someone who is just starting out and offering low prices whilst they cut their teeth, you may just discover some hidden treasure.
