Position Summary
Trusera, a free invitation-only site for people who care about health, is looking for an experienced Web Applications Engineer. Join our team and become part of a groundbreaking online health and wellness resource.
As a Web Applications Engineer here, you'll be developing and deploying a new way to access health information on the Internet. Using the Web's most powerful tools, and joined by a team of experienced entrepreneurs, software engineers, product experts, and web designers, you'll be responsible for developing a world-class, cutting-edge UI.
Qualifications
- 3+ years min. direct experience in application development and website creation
- Experience with AJAX, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and browser DOM manipulation
- Understanding of search engine optimization, personalization, and cross-site scripting vulnerabilities
- Ability to work in both Unix / Linux and Mac OS X environments
- Passion for customer experience and innovative approach
- Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- BA or equivalent experience (MS in Customer Science preferred)
- Experience with or demonstrated interest in Open Source and Ruby on Rails is a plus
- Nice to have: SQL database and REST / SOAP Web service creation and usage
