What's the best way to get 8 hours of sleep each night?

This seems like a simple thing, but I've been having trouble getting my eight hours.  And, this isn't because I'm not in need of it -- I have every intention of getting on a regular routine, but invariably work and other things keeps me up late, and the stress of to-dos wakes me up early.  Feel like I'm slowing losing my mind :-)

Stress and getting a good night's sleep don't mix. I have the same problem and it seems that my mind wakes me up rather than my body.

If possible, try to stop working all evening....
