I realized this weekend that I am out of shape. After a 10 mile bike ride on Bainbridge, I was consistently about 1/4 mile behind Trey and had to jump off my bike and walk it up a steep hill - more than once (sad to say).
I've recently noticed that I lost some weight and wrongly assumed I must be in better shape.
I used to be a decent runner and could work out vigorously for about 2 hours without feeling completely exhausted or experiencing any pain. I haven't consistently worked out in about 2 to 3 months.
Is there any particular workout you recommend for getting back in shape? I understand that this can be a slow process, but don't think I can do another 10 mile bike ride (5 of which were uphill), without working up to it.
Do you recommend shorter intervals? weight lifting? yoga? I am interested in getting stronger and increasing endurance.
