Are parents of kids with ADHD lazy?

Of course, we don't think so. But it's a common perception, according to an article in the New York Times:

... a diagnosis of A.D.H.D. is an escape hatch for selfish and permissive modern parents who are too lazy to discipline their badly behaved kids and prefer instead to medicate them into compliance.

    My son was only diagnosed at 16 , of course that was 20 years ago.

    Then it was called LD, to this day he refuses to accept ADHD , his father has it too.

    The parents aren't the one's doing the diagnosing -- it's the pediatrician who is responsible for accurately diagnosing the condition.  I am a firm believer that while there...
