I didn't have problems with a blood pressure medicine (those never seemed to work for what I was taking them for), but the doc gave me some drugs after a car accident one time. I took it right before I went to bed, bolted out of bed an hour later disoriented, confused. I got up and couldn't walk very well. The whole night I kept wandering around deliriously confused, disoriented, blurred vision, would sit down one minute to try to sleep, but would be up the next minute running in to walls and couches. The scary part was that my roommate was out of town and I was home alone. The next thing I remember was waking up on my couch with my cell phone in my hand (I think I was "with it" enough to know that I could call someone if things got any worse). The next day at my summer job (involving nothing but public speaking in front of groups of 20-700 people) my speech was really slurred. It was awful, frustrating, and embarrassing as heck. Needless to say, I stopped taking the med. Later, another doc told me that I had absolutely no business at all being on a drug like that in the first place. Can I ask, do you think you'll keep taking the bp meds?
