I met last week with a radiation oncologist. The appointment seemed to last forever - and I still don't *really* know what radiation is. I know the possible side effects and what have ya, but I don't know what *it* is. Today I had another CAT Scan of my breast area. This was a specialized one, used specifically for radiation. After they looked over the report, I was marked with 2 black spot, by using liquid ink and a needle, Not quite tattoo'd like I had thought, guess more of a jailhouse technique. So now I'm just waiting for the call to schedule me, and next week I will start week 1 of 6 or 7 weeks of DAILY radiation. I'm so not looking forward to wasting the gas to drive 20 miles to town just for a 5 minute treatment. Even though the whole sheband should last 30 minutes a day, I'm comptemplating riding to work with the hubby. He said he'll find an empty cubby for me to take my laptop, so I can waste away my day. So not the summer I was hoping for!
