Inspired by Breast Cancer Survivor
I recently received an email from a friend who asked me to have a look at her friend Liz's blog and story. I thought it captured the essence of what we're creating at Trusera and wanted to highlight it here. Here is someone who's been through an incredible experience with breast cancer and speaks with deep passion about those women that paved the way for her treatment - and now she wants to "pay it forward" to benefit others following in her footsteps by walking in the 60-mile Breast Cancer 3-Day walk in Philadelphia this October. I include a link to her donation page and her blog here. I wish her the best of success and good health.
In Liz's own words:
"Please support me as I take an amazing journey in the fight against breast cancer! The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Net proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and National Philanthropic Trust, funding important breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment."
"I am a beneficiary of all the treatments that previous women were courageous enough to endure. I cannot express my gratitude to them enough. It was something I thought about every step of the way in my treatments. I walk for myself, my mother, my sisters, and for friends who have all been dealing with breast cancer. I walk for those ahead of me so that they may benefit from our cancer journey. I need your support and confidence that I can complete this walk. I am not sure I have the confidence myself! But I am going to give it everything I have to finish that last mile. As a good friend said, I will just keep my eyes on the shoes in front of me. If you want to view my day-to-day journey, access my blog at http://www.franklywomen.org."
