Type 2s, don't miss this!
Jenny Ruhl is one of the most insightful type 2 diabetes bloggers in cyberspace. I read her quite a bit last summer when I was blogging for The Diabetes Blog. Dealing with type 2 diabetes for years, Jenny has delved deeply into the medical research on type 2 diabetes -- she knows her stuff. Scott Strumello, a type 1 diabetes blogger I highly respect, recently shared Jenny probably knows more about type 2 than many family physicians. He's not alone in this, Dr. William Davis, cardiologist and author of The Heart Scan Blog, recently stated Ruhl's knowledge of type 2 is on par or superior to most diabetes specialists. He interviewed her last month, and if you want to know a little bit more about Ruhl, this is a great place to start. Also, here's Jenny's diabetes history in her own words, compliments of her website.
The best part is Ruhl is a regular person, not a medical doctor. She has a refreshing way of cutting right to the heart of things. She isn't bogged down by any political constraints within conventional medicine. She writes objectively in a style this average gal can understand.
That's why I'm excited to share Ruhl has penned a new book for people with type 2 diabetes or anyone needing to know more about type 2. Blood Sugar 101: What They Don't Tell You About Diabetes recognizes type 2 diabetes is a complex disease, behaving quite differently from one person to the next. Encapsulating a massive amount of scientific knowledge Ruhl has posted on her website, the book empowers type 2s with critical information so they can devise a treatment plan with their doctors to keep their blood sugar within a safe range.
Don't miss Jenny's blog either, a winner of The Best of 2007 by HealthCentral.
