Randy Pausch has become something of a sensation lately, talking about dying with pancreatic cancer.

He was highlighted in the Sunday New York Times today. I added the link below!

I work with cancer patients every day and see about 20 pancreatic cancer patients a week from other states and even other countries. This is an unusual number for one cancer institute, but we do some great work keeping pancreatic cancer patients alive longer.

Everyone should appreciate that we are hearing more about cancer because people are more aware of it. This is a good thing, because prognosis, in most cases, is better with early diagnosis.

I meet incredible people, just like Randy Pausch, every day. There is something about being told that you have limited time that really makes you get your perspective one life. I learn that from the patients and why I love my work.

Wow! He looked amazingly strong in that picture where he was jumping. We can't choose how long we will stay, but we sure can make the best time of what we have left and he is an awesome example. Thanks for reminding us of what courage is.
