I'm going to define "Story" a little broadly today and ask the community a question. I'm hoping you'll answer using comments below. I'd love your point of view on this.
My wife and I have a one-year-old boy. We're considering our options for immunization. We've been following some of controversy around autism and measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) vaccination. Our pediatrician, who I generally trust, is recommending the vaccination. He told to be concerned about a) signs of "chromosomal anomaly" or b) vaccines containing thimerosal (mercury).
What do you think? What resources can you point me to help us work through this decision?
I know that passions and personal experience on this issue runs high. I'm definitely not inviting a "flame war"--there are plenty of places on the Net to go for those. I'm looking to get a balanced set of perspectives and information on all sides o this issue to inform our decision.
I'd love your thoughts!

Guys! Thanks for all this...and keep it coming, if you've got more. You've given us a lot to consider. I really appreciate it! Jude

I wrote a great post on greening our vaccines. Most kids have the ability to naturally chelate toxins from vaccines but the AAP recommends so many vaccines today that are not nec...
I'll tell you what I plan to do with my own children, when I have them. First, no combined shots. The MMR is available as three separate shots, spaced out over time. Secon...
To immunize your children is a very personal choice. After much deliberation, and the fact that we really don't know if the vaccine contributes to Autism in some way...my family...
