Family Circle famous

Sometimes, it occurs to me that breast cancer isn't the worst thing that's happened to me, like when an editor of Family Circle magazine contacted me earlier this summer and asked if she could tell my story in the October issue of the magazine. "Of course," I told her, and we talked for an hour about diagnosis, surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, kids, support, depression, survival, and more. Then, a few weeks later she contacted me again, this time to tell me she didn't want to tell my story -- she wanted me to tell it. So I did. I told my story through words and photos and in a few days, the whole package will be in the hands of readers everywhere. Four million people read Family Circle magazine, I understand. WOW.

"WOW" is not exactly how my 7-year-old Joey feels about my fame. To read more, click here.
