The Autism Spectrum and What I Want the World To Know
The one thing the world should know about the Autism Spectrum is that anyone could be on it and not even know. The spectrum is so broad that it covers a wide range of personalities, some you would never guess have autism, and some who are so disabled by it that it would be obvious to anyone who has an idea of what autism can be.
Someone on the Autism Spectrum could be your neighbor, your co-worker, your child, your spouse. Anyone on the spectrum is undoubtedly loved very much by their family, as well as others. Those with autism can love, can feel hurt, can be upset about being "different", to the point of severe depression and suicidal thoughts.
Some who have autism function at high levels and some at lesser levels and what I'd like the world to know is that we families care very much about our Autism-Spectrum-loved-ones and would like to have more learned about autism so it can be treated and handled in more effective ways to the betterment of everyone involved. We want the best for our loved ones.
