Folks in Las Vegas are raising money for the Achievement Academy, a school that will focus on kids with Asperger's, high-functioning autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and related learning disabilities. They hope to open next year, but don't have a site yet.

My son just this year started in our school district's 'highly capable' program. It's been explained to me that the many of the kids in this program are exactly the same kind of kids the Achievement Academy is focusing on.

I suspect that most school districts' high achiever programs are geared towards Aspies, autism and ADHD.
