Breast cancer survivor has shared her story on video
On Friday, Oct. 3, you heard from a breast cancer survivor, 42-year-old Michele Hyra, who is living with metastatic disease. Her cancer has spread from her nose down to her toes, and she was initially told she had 11 months to live.
She has shared her story – via video, as well as in the other sections of the site – as part of our new campaign called “Just One.”
We want to encourage you to share her video – and many others that we’ll soon post – and we hope that you’ll get excited to keep sharing your story. Michele is proof that it takes “just one” person to change a life.
I was fortunate to meet Michele, and interview her for Trusera, and hear firsthand how she has been living with Stage IV Breast Cancer and Metastatic Disease. How it affects her two little girls. How God has carried her through.
Michele also wants to make some changes to the medical system, which will affect breast cancer patients for years to come. And we’d love your ideas for helping make those changes happen.
I know you will be inspired by Michele’s strength, her love for life, and her passion for making sure this disease doesn’t affect future generations – especially her daughters.
