Get a leg wax, help breast cancer research

It seems that every company is giving some proceeds to breast cancer research. That's great. But I've never heard of this one:

Look good and do good for breast cancer treatment and research with Satin Smooth! Salons and Spas across the country are joining our efforts to raise money for City of Hope, one of the world's largest comprehensive cancer centers. Designated as a Comprehensive Cancer Center, the highest honor bestowed by the National Cancer Institute, and a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, City of Hope's research and treatment protocols advance care throughout the nation.

Participating salons will be donating their time, facilities and waxing services on Sunday, October 12, with all proceeds going to City of Hope. Satin Smooth will support their efforts by donating all waxing products and marketing materials to promote this event.

"We are so pleased to have the opportunity to help raise money and awareness for this important cause," said Susanna DiSotto, Category Manager of Satin Smooth. "The Beauty Industry has long been at the forefront of supporting and raising funds for breast cancer awareness, research and treatment and Satin Smooth is proud to be a part of this tradition."

What do you think? Do you go out of your way to go places when you know they're going to donate?
