I think everyone with cancer needs more holidays, in fact once a month minimum of just getting away for a while. Not a luxury but a healthy mind aspect to the grueling everyday life with cancer. These mini getaways brings hope and a change of pace.

For me I am excited to introduce my new friend to another side of Holland. Zeeland, the original and where New Zeeland came from, don't tell the kiwi's that their dutch.

Life in Zeeland is more relaxed than the big city of Amsterdam. People are friendly and open and a bit more true to their word.

I fell off my bike once and a car stopped picked me up set me in the back seat and another passenger drove my bike home. Then said to me if you need anything here is our telephone and adress feel free to call day or night.

Anonymity is a rare thing in Zeeland, everyone knows your name, and if they don't they introduce themselves and say it is high time we get to talking on a first name basis. Everyone from the supermarket to the farm who has a vegetable stand.

When I need to punch out from big city life, and get away...Zeeland is where you will find me, just being part of my well being therapy
