Question Is your ADHD/LD child a loner or more outgoing?Questions are a quick way to get answers and input from the community.

My ADHD/LD son is outgoing in situations he feels comfortable in.  He loves going to school and to church.  Therefore, he is not the least bit shy at either.  However, in any other situation, he is quite reserved and withdrawn.

Question Do you find that excessive teacher absences negatively affect your child's education and academic performance?Questions are a quick way to get answers and input from the community.

My ADHD/LD son's education has been negatively affected by excessive teacher absences.  He thrives on routine just as every other ADHD child does.  Any disruption of his routine impacts him negatively.  What about you... what has been your experience with this issue?

Question What is your biggest back to school concern for your ADHD/LD child?Questions are a quick way to get answers and input from the community.

My main concern this year for my ADHD/LD son is math.  He is already below grade level and just seems to fall more and more behind.  He is in fifth grade and can not tell time or count money.  This really bothers him.  He can add and subtract up to three digit numbers.  He can not grasp the concept of multiplication or division.  What about you?  What's your main concern for your child?

Question At what age was your child diagnosed with ADHD?Questions are a quick way to get answers and input from the community.

My son was six years old when he was diagnosed.  However, I suspected it between the ages of 4 and 5.

Question What medication does your child take for his/her ADHD?Questions are a quick way to get answers and input from the community.

My son has taken Focalin (10mg, 3 times per day) since July 2005.  He tried Focalin XR (extended release) but we quickly found out that it did not last all day for him.
