I'm a retired registered nurse, after 23 years. i've been happily married for 35 years to a wonderful dear person. despite a bout with cancer at 16, loss of a limb at 45, and now a brain stem stroke, i have to say i've been blessed by wonderful family, good friends, and a supportive community. i try to look to the bright side of things, when i can, although difficult sometimes, and i worry what my condition has burdened my wife and family.
