If your child is invited to something that will require that they be away from you and with another child's parents, do you tell the parents that your child has AS?  If so, how?

Those of us with Asperger's Syndrome often have a difficult time 'cushioning' our words to make them sound nice. If, for instance, your hair looks like your curling iron had a vendetta.  Would you prefer to be told, even if untactfully - or would you prefer to be told it looks great, for lack of a tactful way to say it?
