I am a type 2 diabetic (well-controlled) who is living with chronic kidney disease caused by diabetes, kidney stones, and kidney infections. I have successfully avoided taking insulin for the 13 years I've been diabetic, but I do take several oral medications to keep my blood glucose under control. I have an A1c of 5.0. I also have a cervical spinal stenosis and arthritis. I am on peritoneal dialysis at home nightly.
